Mechanism of Action:

A third generation sulphonylurea, which reduces blood glucose by inducing islet cells of the pancreas to secrete insulin

Indication:

• Used as a single drug or in combination with other drugs (e.g., Metformin, Pioglitazone etc. to control blood glucose levels)
